Workshop Title:
What does it take for data managers to execute RBM successfully?
Workshop Focus:
Applying risk based approaches to monitoring is no longer optional. The transition to the new model has already commenced. ICH-E6(R2) amendment has come into effect and European Medicines Agency (EMA) has formalized it in their regulations, earlier this year. RBM requires a collaborative effort from all stakeholders in the clinical research continuum. Data managers will have an important role to play in the new model. This workshop will provide practical insights into how RBM is being executed and the role of data managers. For the first time, Data Operations leaders from leading organizations will join together to discuss and demonstrate how to execute RBM. Aspects related to risk planning, assessment, the relevance of key risk indicators, central data monitoring and importance of new technologies to enable RBM will be discussed. This workshop will be valuable to data managers who are looking for new avenues to expand in data operations as experienced managers who need to understand how their current role will evolve to support the new model.
